Suspension of maritime transport activities

The OECD has suspended its work on maritime transport.  The last meeting of the Maritime Transport Committee was held in May 2005 and no work has been undertaken since that date. All reports, documents and statistics that have been declassified for public release are still available on the OECD web site, but they will no longer be updated.

OECD urges action to tackle child road deaths

More children are killed on the road than in any other type of accident. Many of these deaths could be avoided.

A Workshop held in 1999 on regulatory reform in international air cargo transport concluded that the industry, as part of a transportation chain, must meet the needs of shippers and cargo owners

Second Workshop on Regulatory Reform in International Air Cargo Transportation, Paris, 4-5 October 2000

from 04-Oct-2000 to 05-Oct-2000

A second Workshop in 2000 considered liberalisation and regulatory reform in terms of the facilitating improved services to users. It sought to address the need for a balance between objectives of Member countries and interests of operators and their workforces, users and other parties.
