This anniversary roundtable will focus on three policy issues of common interest to China and OECD countries: governance of national innovation systems, management of public research, and demand-side policies for innovation.

A key finding from this workshop, held in Paris, was that governments need to align technology-push instruments like grants and incentives for R&D with demand-pull policy instruments such as public procurement and regulations.
