To date, Poland has adopted a complex administrative simplification programme, based on methods successfully used in other OECD countries. It has two main streams: one focused on simplifying licences and permits, the other on measuring and reducing regulatory burdens. This report reviews the programme with the aim of helping Poland to make it and its implementation more efficient.

But it must continue along the path of regulatory reform to make its economy more competitive and speed up its recovery from the economic crisis, according to a new OECD report.

The OECD co-organised with USAID/Vietnam Competitiveness Initiative a Workshop on Enhancing regulatory quality. The workshop called on international experts to share experiences and good practices on the framework for regulatory management, on improving productivity in product and labor markets, and on the regulation of infrastructure and public services.
