Micro-projects on Statistics and Data Gathering (SENDDD)

As part of the OECD project on "Education development for Disabled and at Risk Students in South Eastern Europe", education ministries have been invited to participate in activities to address capacity building in the field of statistics and data gathering. Country-specific micro-projects will be implemented in 2006/2007.

Workshop Inciting the Practitioners Perspective - Brain Research and Learning

New Director for Education

Dr. Barbara Ischinger is appointed as new Director for Education in succession to Dr. Barry McGaw. Dr. Ischinger, who is German, took up her duties on 1 January 2006.

Thematic Review of Tertiary Education - Home Page

Many OECD countries have recently experienced rapid growth in tertiary education. With increasing globalisation of the economy and labour markets, their tertiary education systems are facing new pressures. This led the OECD’s Education Committee to request a major review of tertiary education. Twenty-two countries are participating in this review.
