The OECD Development Assistance Committee welcomed the Netherlands’ continued commitment to maintain high levels of development aid. The Netherlands Official Development Assistance in 2005 was USD 5.11 billion, or 0.82% of Gross National Income, making it one of the world’s most generous donor countries.

A Policy Dialogue between OECD Members and non-Members "Aid for Trade: From Policy to Practice" took place in Doha, Qatar on 6 and 7 November 2006. This Policy Dialogue between OECD and non-OECD countries on Aid for Trade brought together a wide range of stakeholders from developing and developed countries to share experiences and information on how best to support developing countries' trade expansion and make it an engine of economic growth and poverty reduction. Presentations  are available for download.

Analysis of aid in support of gender equality, 1999-2003

This report examines data on DAC members’ aid targeting the objective of gender equality in recent years.  It is based on donors’ reporting on bilateral official development assistance (ODA) commitments to the Creditor Reporting System (CRS) Aid Activity Database and, in particular, the use of the gender equality policy marker to identify the relevant activities.
