Speaking at the meeting of the employment and labour Ministers, OECD Secretary-General, Mr. Gurría affirmed that the current crisis offers an opportunity to discuss the jobs potential of a shift towards a low-carbon economy and what policies are needed to realise the potential of the "green jobs".

A first set of Frequently Asked Questions about the OECD QSAR Application Toolbox is now available. The (Q)SAR Application Toolbox is a software application intended to be used by governments, industry and other stakeholders to fill gaps in (eco)toxicity data needed for assessing the hazards of chemicals. The questions address a number of topics such as regulatory acceptance, content and quality of databases, contribution from stakeholders as well as installation and troubleshooting.

OECD Finance and Economy Ministers to discuss Green Growth

At the OECD Ministerial Council meeting on 24-25 June 2009, under the theme of “The Crisis and beyond: building a stronger, cleaner and fairer world economy”, Ministers from OECD countries, accession candidate countries as well as key emerging economies will discuss key ingredients for “Green Growth” in the wake of financial and economic crisis.
