The Workshop on Mathematics in Industry, held in March 2007, brought together mathematicians, industry representatives, and officials of science funding agencies to examine the relationship between the mathematical sciences and industry.This report contains analyses and findings about the potential of applying advanced mathematics to modern industrial problems. Mechanisms of proven efficacy are described, for implementation by universities, institutes, companies and government agencies. An addendum to this report provides additional practical information about these mechanisms.

The Seoul Declaration came at the close of the OECD Ministerial Meeting on the Future of the Internet Economy, held in Seoul, Korea, on 17-18 June 2008. Participants agreed on the need for governments to work closely with business, civil society and technical experts on policies that promote competition, empower and protect consumers, and expand Internet access and use worldwide.
