Draft Recommendation for Assessing the Sustainability of Bio-based Products

The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) invited the public to a consultation on the draft Recommendation for Assessing the Sustainability of Bio-based Products.
All comments received will be collated and analysed. The Recommendation will continue to be revised through expert meetings at which the comments received via the public consultation will be considered as well as additional comments provided by experts and the OECD member countries representatives. The Recommendation is expected to be made public in its final form in 2012.

The report also examines the main drivers as well as barriers and challenges for the diffusion of virtual worlds.

OECD governments and other stakeholders have created a new framework to promote a more transparent, open Internet at a two-day meeting in Paris. The new principles, agreed by OECD member governments, business representatives and technical experts, aim to advance the debate on Internet governance. They underline the benefits that today’s light-touch, flexible regulation has brought in driving innovation and economic growth.
