The work of the MENA-OECD Investment Programme is developed and implemented by five working groups, under the supervision of the Steering Group, and in close co-ordination with the country economic teams.
Each working group is co-chaired by a MENA economy and an OECD country. Officials and experts from OECD countries actively participate in the working groups which are open to all countries although participation varies depending on the interest, capacity, and commitment of individual MENA economies.
The MENA-OECD Investment Programme is structured into the following working groups:
Each working group focuses on concrete actions and time-bound results, combined with an on-going monitoring and support system that involves taking stock of the current reform efforts in MENA economies and developing concrete action plans for monitoring the implementation of policy reforms. This could ultimately allow the introduction of peer reviews amongst the economies of the MENA region.
