Workshop Participants from MENA and OECD Countries
This workshop presented the first deliverables produced by the MENA-OECD Initiative to Support the Palestinian Authority (MIP) in the areas of regulatory quality, e-government and better service delivery, and integrity framework.
The following OECD publications were presented:
The event was attended by ministers and members of the Palestinian Cabinet, and joined by OECD peer experts from Italy, Spain, Turkey and the UK, who shared their countries’ expertise and good practices with the Palestinian Authority.
Action plans for implementation. The discussions held during the workshop contributed to produce Action Plans for each thematic priority of MIP. The Action Plans will ensure the concrete implementation of the endorsed recommendations and will be completed by a series of capacity building activities that will provide the Palestinian Authority with the necessary tools and competences to effectively proceed with the identified reforms.
Working Sessions (morning)
Three workshops were organised in parallel, together with Palestinian Authority public officials responsible for the key areas of regulatory policy, e-government and integrity, to discuss the findings of the first phase of the project and analyse key objectives that could be realised in the second phase.

Public Consultation (Joint Session in the afternoon)
This joint workshop presented and discussed in detail how to implement the Practitioners’ Guide on public consultation in the law drafting process. Participants had the opportunity to discuss the steps to be taken during the implementation phase and how to ensure a smooth coordination between various institutions.
