A high level delegation from Iraq, led by H.E. Ali Muhsen Ismail Al-Alaak Secretary General of the Iraqi Cabinet, attended a workshop on regulatory policy, held back to back with the MENA Special Session on 26 October in Paris. Regulatory policy is a key priority to reinforce state-building and improve the rule of law.

The workshop provided substantive discussions on problems encountered in reversing excessive central planning and implementing a coherent whole-of-government to improve the regulatory environment for citizens and businesses.
