The Paris meeting built on the foundations laid at the Marrakech events, and presented the work done by the Council Task Forces to help restore trust in business post-crisis. The meeting furthermore worked on the input of the Council into the policy-making process so as to ensure maximum impact of the messages sent to MENA and OECD political leaders at events such as the next MENA-OECD Ministerial Conference and through the MENA
The prioritisation of infrastructure projects and their configuration as attractive public-private partnership opportunities or for development bank loans was the focus of the second Working Group on Infrastructure Finance in Iraq meeting held on 29-30 April 2010 in Paris.

In the context of the Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship, held on 26-27 April, the OECD's Washington Centre hosted a luncheon briefing to feature the activities of the OECD-MENA Women's Business Forum, which aims to support the expansion of women-led businesses and women's employment in the MENA region.
The founding meeting of the Advisory Board to the MENA Centre for Competitiveness was held on March 31 in Tunis, Tunisia. The meeting gathered representatives of eleven MENA countries as well as representatives of regional and international partner organisations such as the World Bank, the European Investment Bank and the African Development Bank.
On 29-30 March 2010, over 120 MENA and OECD policy-makers, representatives of international organisations, local stakeholders and the donor community will meet to debate how public policy can promote entrepreneurship and support young enterprises in the MENA region.
The MENA-OECD Women’s Business Network held a meeting in Tunis on 29 March 2010 with the support of the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs. Women leaders in business, government, and civil society met to discuss innovative ways of boosting women’s entrepreneurship and employment in the Middle East and North Africa region.
A workshop on Strengthening Integrity in the Private Sector in Iraq: Public Procurement was organised in Manama, Bahrain, on 18 March 2010 by the MENA-OECD Investment Programme in co-operation with the MENA Investment Center of the Bahrain Economic Development Board.
On 10-12 March 2010, a training workshop for the Iraq National Investment Commission on One Stop Shop Services for Investors in the MENA region was organised by the MENA-OECD Investment Programme. The workshop, which took place in Beirut, was organised in co-operation with the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL).
