EU-OECD Programme on Promoting Investment in the Mediterranean, Regional Seminar, 26-27 June 2018, Cairo, Egypt
The objective of this seminar is to build capacities of participating government representatives to deal with and to prevent disputes between foreign investors and the State. The seminar will take stock of investor-State dispute settlement (ISDS) trends and challenges in the Mediterranean region and review related provisions in national laws and international investment agreements, against global developments.
The Working Group on SME Policy, Entrepreneurship and Human Capital Development aims to promote high-growth enterprises, improve access to finance, support enterprise development with business law, and foster entrepreneurship through human capital development.
This programme raises awareness of international principles and best practice in combating corruption in selected countries in the Middle East and North Africa region. It encourages governments and companies to develop and implement integrity measures and tools with a view to levelling the playing field for businesses operating in the region.
