OECD Partners and Strategy on Development
Thursday 30 May - 9:30am
In developing and emerging economies, economic growth and innovative social protection programmes have lifted many people out of extreme poverty and led to the emergence of a new middle class.
At the same time, key challenges persist, including: income inequality, youth unemployment, an informal job market, and citizens’ rising expectations for better governance.
The OECD can help Key Partner Countries and regions address such challenges through tailor-made programmes and strengthened cooperation.
The OECD Strategy on Development can also assist developing countries in addressing key policy challenges, such as curbing illicit financial flows and ensuring food security.
