New Approaches to Economic Challenges and Prioritising Inclusive Growth
Wednesday 29 May - 13pm
The New Approaches to Economic Challenges (NAEC) initiative is an OECD wide reflection to drive forward the continuous improvement of our analytical frameworks and policy advice.
The aim is to help countries not only deliver strong growth, but also improve people’s well-being, support a fairer distribution of the benefits of growth and ensure that natural resources are used in a sustainable way.
Key elements of this exercise include: considering the lessons learned from the crisis, revisiting our fundamental assumptions about the functioning of the economy and extending the capabilities our existing tools and models to better address the synergies, complementarities and trade-offs between policies.
