The Economic Outlook was presented by OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría and Chief Economic Pier Carlo Padoan.
It included detailed projections to 2016 and long-term scenarios to 2060, looking at the impact of reforms and required fiscal consolidation, and highlighting challenges related to rebalancing global demand and long-term growth.
It also incorporated a review of new sources of growth, such as knowledge-based capital.
A Ministers’ panel discussion followed on “Growth and Jobs” focusing on employment challenges and sources of inclusive and green growth.
