OECD's Directory of Nickel-Cadmium Battery Collection Facilities
This directory lists collection facilities where used nickel-cadmium batteries can be dropped off for recycling in OECD Member countries.
eChemPortal
The OECD initiated in 2004 the development of a global portal to information on chemical substances (eChemPortal) to improve the availability of hazard data on chemicals. In order to make as much information as possible immediately available while the portal is being developed, the present internet site was developed which refers the interested public directly to the participating databases where they use local query functionality to access relevant data.
EXICHEM (Existing Chemicals) Pointer Database
The EXICHEM database is a pointer system on current, planned and completed activities on existing chemicals in OECD Member countries and other relevant bodies. It provides information for the OECD Member countries on who is doing what with which chemicals in order to assist countries to identify opportunities for co-operation on specific activities on existing chemicals and to avoid duplication of work. As a result, the EXICHEM database also contributes to animal welfare.
OECD's New Industrial Chemicals Information Directory
This directory aims to improve awareness among industry of the different new industrial chemicals notification and assessment schemes and their requirements; provide readily accessible information about existing schemes to those countries currently developing or considering the development of new chemicals notification schemes; and provide a basis on which to facilitate future ways to share information. Information about pesticides is not covered in this directory.
OECD List of High Production Volume (HPV) Chemicals
The OECD List of HPV Chemicals serves as the overall priority list from which chemicals are selected for SIDS data gathering and testing and initial hazard assessment. It is compiled by the Secretariat on the basis of regular submissions by Member countries reporting those industrial chemicals for which a Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) Registry Number had been assigned and which are produced or imported at levels greater than 1000 tonnes per year.
OECD Integrated High Production Volume (HPV) Chemicals Database
The status of all HPV chemicals within the process of investigation in the OECD HPV Chemicals Programme is recorded in the HPV Database. It contains the list of all OECD HPV chemicals together with any annotations on each chemical which has been provided by Member countries to the Secretariat. Each chemical is identified as to exactly which stage it is at in the assessment process, and for those chemicals which have already been selected for sponsoring. Once the assessment of a chemical is finalised it shows the conclusions and recommendation of the assessment. A link to internet pages where completed assessments can be downloaded is also included.

International Directory for Emergency Response Centres
The International Directory of Emergency Response Centres for Chemical Accidents is a joint publication of three organisations: the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development); the UNEP-DTIE (United Nations Environment Programme - Division of Technology, Industry and Economics); and the Joint UNEP/OCHA (Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs) Environment Unit. The emergency response centres in the Directory are located in OECD and non-OECD countries. This international directory is intended to facilitate access to information and assistance provided by response centres located throughout the world. Such centres may provide information and advice on how to prepare for chemical accidents and to establish emergency programmes or centres, as well as assistance in responding to chemical accidents themselves.
Pollutant Release and Transfer Registers (PRTR) databases
A PRTR is a key tool governments are using to provide data to the public about potentially toxic releases to the environment. A PRTR is a database or register of the quantities of potentially harmful chemicals, reported by facilities, which are released to air, water and soil and/or transferred off-site for treatment. The Resource Centre for RETs provides a clearinghouse of guidance manuals/documents of release estimation techniques for the principal pollutant release and transfer registries developed by OECD member countries. The purpose of the Centre for PRTR Data is to share PRTR data as widely as possible within the OECD area. PRTR data included in this database is compiled on a national or regional level. The database does not include PRTR data of individual sites of facilities.

OECD's Database on Chemical Risk Assessment Models
This searchable database includes information on models (computerised or capable of being computerised) that are used by OECD Member governments and industry to predict health or environmental effects (e.g., QSARs), exposure potential and possible risks. This Database has been archived, but is available as a nsf file upon request.
