7-9 November 2012 - Tirana, Albania

Ministers from the Western Balkan economies will come together to discuss progress and agree upon future actions to facilitate trade and economic growth in the region at two key events in Tirana, Albania, on 7-9 November 2012.

7-8 November: CEFTA Week provides an annual forum for CEFTA parties and key stakeholders to discuss developments in the region’s trade regimes, assess progress and economic impact to date and debate new challenges and potential future developments for the region. This year’s meeting is chaired by Albania and will result in a joint ministerial declaration on priorities for trade facilitation, customs cooperation, trade in services and boosting regional competitiveness and investment.

9 November: The South East Europe Investment Committee Ministerial will be organised for the first time by the Regional Cooperation Council, following the handover from the OECD’s Investment Compact for South East Europe in 2011. Ministers from the region will adopt the Ministerial Declaration 2012 on the South East Europe 2020 headline targets: integrated, smart, inclusive, and sustainable growth within a good governance framework, consistent with the strategic needs of the region.
