Demand from new wireless subscribers is driving growth in high-speed Internet in OECD countries but the latest data show a slowdown in fixed broadband subscriptions in the first half of 2011.
Finland, the Netherlands and Sweden have the lowest prices for mobile phone calls among OECD countries, according to the latest OECD Communications Outlook. The highest were found in Canada, Spain and the United States.

Finland is well into the diffusion stage of the S-curve of ICT use in business. Levels of basic ICT "readiness" in business are well above the OECD average and ICT investment both in equipment and ICT skills remains high.
