11/12/2009 - The global steel industry is gradually emerging from one of its worst downturns in decades. Despite some improvement in market conditions, the steel industry still faces challenging years ahead, according to industry and government officials at the OECD’s Steel Committee meeting in Paris on 10-11 December 2009 .
