This workshop will convene leading experts from health and finance backgrounds in government, academia, and international organisations to take stock of progress in health expenditure forecasting and to discuss future directions, in light of policy needs and recent advancements in techniques, detailed data and computing power.
The OECD and the ESRC Genomics Policy & Research Forum jointly organised a one-day Forum on 12 November 2012 in Paris. The event was both retrospective and forward-looking. The forum concluded that the promise of biotechnology is not set but evolves with fresh scientific knowledge, novel laws and regulations. The future of biotechnology needs to also integrate social and cultural dimensions.
This event was the first time the OECD has taken a systematic look at what marine biotechnology could contribute to the grand challenges of food and fuel security, population health, green growth and sustainable industries.

The European Diabetes Leadership Forum (EDLF), to be held in Copenhagen on 25-26 April 2012, is hosted by the OECD and the Danish Diabetes Association.

This biotechnology global forum, "Delivering Global Promise Through the Life Sciences" underlined how the latest social science research into genomics science can help inform key global economic and policy decisions.
The OECD Employment, Labour and Social Affairs Directorate has launched in September 2008 a series of seminars open to both external and internal speakers. It is intended to be an informal forum for discussion of policy-oriented empirical research work among policy-makers, academics and OECD staff.
