Data governance and technical/operational readiness to develop national information from EHRs in countries surveyed, 2016 |

|
Many countries are now developing new datasets and publishing information from Electronic Health Record (EHR) data for the purpose of quality improvement and monitoring healthcare performance. Countries are at very different points on this journey, however. Some demonstrate high data governance and technical / operational readiness to do this. Other countries are advanced in only one of these two dimensions, and a small group of countries are not advanced in either dimension. Countries reporting high readiness on both dimensions also reported that it was likely or very likely that EHR data would contribute to national monitoring of health care quality over the next five years. |
