The OECD e-Leaders Meeting took place in the Egmont Castle, located in the heart of Brussels.




The Hilton Brussels Hotel is the nearest to the meeting venue. You are invited to book your room directly with the hotel by mentioning the reservation code already sent to you by e-mail. Should you cannot retreive this code, please contact us.  


Travelling to the hotel

Coming from Brussels-Zaventem Airport, follow the signs to the ring of Bruxelles, then follow Liège - Louvain (E40). Follow E40 direction Brussels until the end. Take the tunnel at the end of the highway direction Centre - Centrum. At Schumann square take the 2nd street on the right (Rue de la Loi). At the top of the hill turn left and take the tunnel. Get out at the tunnel Louise. The Hilton Brussels will be on your right.

If you take a taxi, you should count around 50€ to get to the hotel.


Travelling to Belgium


Visa requirements

European Union citizens do not need a visa to travel to Belgium.

For other travellers, depending on nationality, length and purpose of stay in Belgium, a visa may be required.  The visa needs to be obtained before departure; for more information, please consult the Belgian Foreign Affairs Ministry website.


Brussels airport

Brussels Airport, usually referred to as Zaventem Airport, is Belgium’s national airport. Brussels Airport has its own train station called Brussels National Airport. Each fifteen minutes, an Airport Express train travels between Brussels Airport, Brussels Nord, Brussels Central and Brussels Midi, a trip of approximately twenty minutes. Travelling to Brussels by train

Brussels can be reached by two high-speed international trains:


Thalys - for travellers from France, Germany and the Netherlands
Eurostar - for travellers from the United Kingdom
