Capacity-Building Seminar on Citizens’ Participation in Costa Rica

The OECD led a capacity-building seminar of open government leaders from Costa Rica’s public service and civil society on ways to successfully consult citizens and involve them in policy design, implementation and evaluation.

 

OBJECTIVES

  • Share OECD principles, instruments and international good practices on designing and implementing public consultations.
  • Build the capacities of government officials of Costa Rica and representatives of civil society organisations on successful citizens’ participation.
  • Agree on the focus of the collaboration with the OECD on how to promote the national open government agenda and elaborate a joint work plan for the upcoming months.
