OECD Network of Parliamentary Budget Officials and Independent Fiscal Institutions (PBO)

The OECD Working Party of Senior Budget Officials  (SBO) has created a network of Parliamentary Budget Officials and Independent Fiscal Institutions (PBO).

The PBO network is a diverse group, bringing together specialised professional staff from: independent fiscal institutions (parliamentary budget offices and fiscal councils); specialised in-house parliamentary budget research units; and parliamentary budget or finance committees.

The network focuses on improving scrutiny of the budget process and the evolving role of independent parliamentary budget offices and fiscal councils.
