Annual meeting of the OECD Schools of Government Network: Skills for a World Class Civil Service
6 July 2015, OECD, Paris
The Annual Meeting of the OECD Schools of Government Network on the theme of Skills for a World Class Civil Service will be held on 6 July 2015, at the OECD Headquarters in Paris.
This year’s Annual Meeting will explore the role that national schools of government can plan in training for a World Class Civil Service and their contribution to identifying attributes of a leading civil service. As a global forum for public sector training and professional development institutions, the Network is uniquely placed to contribute to this topic. The Network meeting will help frame the discussions on public sector skills and learning that will take place at the October 2015 OECD ministerial meeting which is taking place in Helsinki.
The launch of the OECD’s flagship publication, Government at a Glance will also take place at 14:00 on 6 July 2015 as part of the Annual Meeting of the National Schools of Government Network.
The 2015 edition of Government at a Glance will be launched by OECD Deputy Secretary General Ms Mari Kiviniemi in presence of senior government and OECD officials and Network participants.
The Annual Meeting of the Network coincides with the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) Annual Conference which you may also be attending. The OECD will also be present at the IASIA conference on 7 July as part of a panel on “Alternative Service Delivery Arrangements”.
