The OECD has extended the survey of indicators of Regulatory Management Systems (RMS) to include the new OECD member countries of Chile, Estonia, Israel and Slovenia, and also Brazil, Russia and South Africa in 2010-11.
The RMS indicators offer comprehensive insights into trends in regulatory reform and identify leading regulatory management practices. The indicators are based on surveys with government officials and focus on regulatory policy, systems for promoting clarity and due process in decision making, transparency, consultation, Regulatory Impact Analysis (RIA), administrative simplification, and institutional settings for regulatory reform.
The results are presented in the form of individual country notes to put the data into context including comparisons with data from across OECD. The country notes can be downloaded here.
The questionnaire used for this survey can be accessed here.
