The conference, held from 12-13 December 2002 in Fortaleza, Brazil, provided a valuable opportunity to bring together key actors from the public and private sectors. Participants had the unique occasion to discuss trends in regional inequalities related to territorial development policies, with a special focus on the role of FDI in the development of regions in Brazil, other Latin America countries, Europe and Asia.
