The OECD network of Senior Budget Officials from Central, Eastern and South-Eastern European Countries (CESEE SBO) held its second meeting on 16-17 February 2006 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Richard Emery, former Assistant Director of the Office of Management and Budget, Executive Office of the President of the United States. It opened with a welcoming address by Mr. Ziga Lavric, State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance of Slovenia, which was followed by remarks by Mrs. Odile Sallard, Director of the Public Governance and Territorial Development Directorate of the OECD. A keynote speech on the role of the Ministry of Finance in the budget process was delivered by Mr. David Shand, Advisor of the Financial Management Board of the World Bank.
Budget reviews of Croatia and of Georgia were presented by the OECD Secretariat.
