You need to know the details of the OECD centres abroad?

The OECD is represented outside of Paris by Centres in BerlinMexico City, Tokyo, and Washington. The Centres serve as regional contacts for the full range of OECD activities, from the sales of publications, to inquiries from the media, to liaison with governments, parliaments, business, labour and civil society.

Accession Process and OECD Enlargement
How does a country become a member of the OECD?

To remain an influential voice in the world economy, the OECD shall strengthen its links with other countries, as decided by the OECD Council Resolution on Enlargement and Enhanced Engagement on May 16, 2007. Status of Dependent Territories of OECD Member Countries
Do you want to know if the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, Gibraltar, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands are members of the OECD?

Dependent territories of OECD Member Countries are not members of the OECD in their own right. Please refer to our Legal Department for further information through account.legal@oecd.org.

OECD Funding
How is the OECD funded?

The OECD is funded by its member countries. scale of member countries' contributions to the OECD core budget to the annual budget are based on a formula related to the size of each member's economy. The largest contributor is the United States followed by Japan. With the approval of the Council, countries may also make separate contributions to particular programmes not funded from the main budget.
The size of the annual budget as well as its programme of work are determined by the Council.

The OECD Macrothesaurus
Are you looking for the OECD Macrothesaurus?

We regret to inform you that this collection was interrupted in 1998. The last and fifth edition of the 'Macrothesaurus for Information Processing in the Field of Economic and Social Development' is available at the Online Bookshop or at La Documentation française located at 29, quai Voltaire - 75007 Paris, metro station: Rue du Bac, RER station: Musée d'Orsay. It is open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm and on Saturday from 10am to 1pm & from 2 to 6pm. For more information, please contact sales@oecd.org.

The OECD Macrothesaurus, whose maintenance has now been delegated to another organisation, is also available online at http://bibliotecavirtual.clacso.org.ar/ar/oecd-macroth/en/index.htm.

Are you looking for statistics to carry out a market research?

Even if the OECD produces numerous statistics, a chamber of commerce and industry is a better place for requesting this type of information. You may nevertheless find useful information under 'International Trade Statistics' at www.oecd.org/std/its. Please keep also in mind that the Statistics Department can answer questions about OECD statistics and help you locate data online but it cannot provide you with specific data. Free online statistics can be accessed at www.oecd.org/statistics/data. The Frequently Requested Statistics will give you an overview of the main economic indicators for OECD member countries.
