OECD is contributing actively to the establishment of AMIS, an agricultural market information system called for by G20 Agriculture Ministers with the aim of addressing food price volatility through more timely, accurate and transparent information on global food markets.
The G20 called on the OECD and other international organisations to propose a framework for analysis of national approaches to increase sustainable agricultural productivity growth. As a first step, this report reviews trends in Agricultural Innovation Systems (AIS) and discusses the impact of a wide range of policies on the creation and diffusion of innovation in the agricultural and agri-food sector.
This inter-agency report to the Mexican G20 Presidency examines practical actions that could be undertaken to sustainably improve agricultural productivity growth, in particular on small family farms.
G20 governments under successive Presidencies have sought to improve international collaboration in support of a more productive and sustainable global food and agriculture system.
