Prime Minister Valls received the OECD Secretary-General at Matignon

 

24/07/2014 - The French Prime Minister‎, Mr Manuel Valls, received the OECD Secretary-General for a bilateral meeting at Hôtel Matignon. During the meeting, Secretary-General Gurria offered further OECD  support to help the French Government in its reforms to enhance competitiveness, productivity and growth. The discussion also addressed the contributions of the Organization to the global agenda, including the international tax issues, global value chains and climate change.


The Secretary-General  shared the latest OECD reports on France regarding innovation, public administration reform, and education.  He also delivered an updated version of the OECD Better Policies on the French economy, an earlier version of which had been presented to President François Hollande.


At the core of today’s discussion was the need to create more and better quality jobs in France and to ensure the promotion of inclusive growth for better lives.
