Bulgaria has joined Costa Rica, Colombia, Croatia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Morocco, Peru, Tunisia, as well as OECD members in having adhered to the Declaration. The tax-to-GDP ratio in Turkey increased by 0.4 percentage points, from 25.1% in 2015 to 25.5% in 2016. The corresponding figures for the OECD average were an increase of 0.3 percentage points from 34.0% to 34.3% over the same period.

En 2016, l’APD a atteint 6.2 milliards USD (0.79 % du RNB) selon les données préliminaires. En 2015, l’APD nette de la Turquie s’est élevée à 3.9 milliards USD, soit une hausse de 26 % en termes réels relativement à 2014. Le rapport de l’APD au RNB est passé de 0.45 % en 2014 à 0.50 % en 2015.

Unemployment in Turkey has been on an upward trajectory since 2012 and it has now peaked at nearly 11.7% (February 2017). This is in sharp contrast with the OECD average, which has been falling steadily and has now reached 5.9%.

Turkey had the 18th highest tax wedge among the 35 OECD member countries in 2016. The country occupied the same position in 2015. The average single worker in Turkey faced a tax wedge of 38.1% in 2016 compared with the OECD average of 36.0%.
