OECD Secretary-General in Stockholm for World Water Week, 1st - 3rd September 2013


Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Stockholm to attend the World Water Week, hosted and organised by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI).

In the context of the World Water Week, the OECD organised a side event (GWP-OECD High-Level Panel on the Economics of Water Security) where the Secretary-General launched the OECD reports “Water Security for Better Lives” and “Water and Climate Change Adaptation: Policies to Navigate Uncharted Waters”.

At the World Water Week, Mr. Gurría participated in the interactive discussion at the Opening Plenary Session and delivered remarks at the Press Conference.

During his visit, the Secretary-General also delivered remarks at an event organised by the United Nations Secretary-Generals' Advisory Board on Water & Sanitation on “Securing the Future: Designing a Post-2015 Water Goal”.

He also held several meetings with Swedish authorities and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprises.
