EDU CERI › Henno Theisens
Analyst
Henno Theisens is currently leading two CERI projects: Governing Complex Education Systems, focusing on the challenges that governments face in steering complex education systems, and Market in Education on the effects of choice and competition on education outcomes. He was also responsible for the publication of Trends Shaping Education 2010.
Until 2008 he worked on CERI’s long standing project Schooling for Tomorrow, a project that developed future-oriented thinking for education. Henno worked on trend analyses, scenario development and a number of themes with long-term relevance for education (such as demand sensitivity in schooling and the future of the teaching workforce).
Before joining CERI he worked as a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Higher Education Policy Studies (Netherlands) mainly in the area of higher education policy and management both through consultancy in Central & Eastern Europe and Africa and contract research.
Henno Theisens holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Higher Education Policy Research from University of Twente (Center for Higher Education Policy Studies, CHEPS), an M.Sc. in European Politics and Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and an M.A. in Public Policy and Public Administration from the University of Twente.
