The OECD & Eurasia

For more than a quarter-century, the OECD has worked closely with the Eurasia region to encourage sustainable and inclusive growth in Eurasia, promoting structural reforms and capacity building, and facilitating policy dialogue.

Today, the OECD provides country-specific support for Kazakhstan and Ukraine, while other countries in the region benefit from different forms of engagement with the Organisation.

The OECD Eurasia Competitiveness  Programme was created in 2008 to help the region address its economic challenges. The OECD Eurasia Competitiveness Roundtable was then launched in 2013 to provide a platform for peer review and knowledge sharing. In 2014, OECD Eurasia Week was created to provide the region with a high-level annual event where  exchange and mutually beneficial linkages between the region and the global community are fostered.

OECD Eurasia Week 2017

OECD Eurasia Week creates an opportunity to further strengthen relations between the countries of the region and the OECD. It serves as a platform for a discussion on a broad spectrum of thematic issues relevant to further improving the region’s competitiveness.

OECD Eurasia Week 2017 took place on 23-25 October 2017 in Almaty, Kazakhstan
