    Statistical Insights: An x-ray view of inflation

    Inflation may be present in some parts of an economy but not others. Contributions to annual inflation show how much different product groups contribute to overall inflation in a given year. The measure is a useful tool to understand where inflation is occurring in different countries, analyse trends in inflation over time, and identify volatile and stable components of inflation.

    Gender in Global Value Chains: the impact of trade on male and female employment

    Statistics on the role of these different types of firms in Global Value Chains (GVCs) are essential to facilitate policy making and to provide insights in the nexus between international trade, international investment, and production. The OECD has therefore started a work-stream that extends the Trade in Value Added (TiVA) dataset by breaking down industries into new categories of firms, including SMEs and MNEs.
