The next OECD Eurasia Week took place on 22-24 November 2016 in Paris, France. This event creates an opportunity to further strengthen relations between the countries of the region and the OECD. It serves as a platform for a discussion on a broad spectrum of thematic issues relevant to further improving the region’s competitiveness.
This review addresses the territorial dimension of a range of policy challenges in the Ukraine, including Ukraine's productivity challenge, large inter-regional disparities, and need for decentralisation.
The aim of this seminar was to build institutional capacities and transfer methodologies to the Ukrainian policy makers on areas which could improve the country’s agricultural competitiveness and sustain Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), building on the OECD know-how and reflecting on the Trento experience.
The seminar was targeted at national, regional and local practitioners who dealt with anticipating and managing demographic changes in Russia and Eastern European countries and wanted to interchange experiences and approaches with other experts from OECD countries.
This seminar was part of a three-year programme of cooperation between the European Commission and the OECD LEED Programme to monitor and report on entrepreneurial activity in Europe and related public policies and actions.
