OECD Economic Survey of Norway launches Wednesday 5 March 2014


28/02/2014 - The OECD’s latest Economic Survey of Norway, to be published on Wednesday 5 March 2014, notes the country’s success in generating inclusive growth, characterized by low unemployment, gender balance, social mobility and a relatively egalitarian income distribution. The Survey discusses Norway’s determination to strengthen financial stability, through the use of new policy tools to help policymakers prevent and manage financial crises, notably concerning housing market related risks. It also discusses the roles of entrepreneurship, competition and skills in ensuring future prosperity.


OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría will present the Survey during a news conference with Norway's Finance Minister Siv Jensen, at 12:00 p.m. (11:00 a.m. GMT) at the Ministry of Finance, Akersgata 40, Oslo.

The Survey will be available to registered journalists on the OECD's password-protected website at 12:00 p.m. CET for immediate release.
