20/03/2015-The OECD Economic Survey of Indonesia, to be published on Wednesday 25 March 2015, assesses the policies behind the country’s strong performance and impressive reduction in poverty over the past decade. With growth moderating and income inequality on the rise, the Survey notes that the pace of reform must accelerate, to ensure inclusive and sustainable growth for all Indonesians.
OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría will present the Survey during a news conference on 25 March in Jakarta with Indonesian Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro. The news conference, which also marks the inauguration of the OECD’s new Southeast Asia Office, in Jakarta, begins at 09:45 local time (02:45 GMT) at the Hotel Borobudur (Banda Room, Jalan Lapangan Banteng Selatan, Jakarta, 10710).
Mr Gurría will also present a new OECD Education Policy Review of Indonesia, with Minister of Culture and Elementary and Secondary Education Anies Baswedan, during the same news conference.
The Survey and Education Policy Review will both be available to registered journalists on the OECD's password-protected website at 02:45 GMT for immediate release.
