    OECD Environmental Performance Reviews: The Netherlands 2015

    This report is the third OECD review of environmental performance in the Netherlands. It evaluates progress towards sustainable development and green growth, with a focus on sustainable mobility, and waste and materials management.

    The OECD Environmental Performance Review Programme provides independent assessments of country progress in achieving domestic and international environmental policy commitments. The reviews are conducted to improve environmental performance, promote peer learning and enhance accountability. They are supported by a broad range of economic and environmental data, and provide policy-relevant recommendations.

    Each review cycle covers all OECD countries and selected partner economies. The most recent reviews include: Spain (2015), Poland (2015), Sweden (2014).

    Green growth in countries and territories

    There are now 42 adherents to the OECD Declaration on Green Growth. Lithuania has joined Costa Rica, Colombia, Croatia, Latvia, Morocco, Tunisia, as well as OECD members in having adhered to the declaration. Latest reports are now available on Zambia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Korea and Latvia.

    Libérer l’investissement pour une croissance et des emplois durables

    Cette année, la Réunion du Conseil de l’OCDE au niveau des ministres, que nous avons l’honneur de présider, traitera de l’investissement. Le moment ne pourrait être mieux choisi. Si les perspectives de croissance se sont améliorées, il reste encore beaucoup à faire. L’investissement a été particulièrement touché par la crise et doit encore se remettre.

    Promoting Growth in All Regions

    Is growth possible in all OECD regions? Evidence suggests that it is. This report argues that helping underdeveloped regions to catch up with more developed ones will have a positive impact on a country’s national growth overall, and that such growth helps to build a fairer society, in which no region’s citizens are left behind.
