This workshop was held on 24 April 2009, in Kiev, Ukraine, following the established co-operation between the OECD/EAP Task Force and the Ministry of Municipal Housing Economy of Ukraine with the financial support from the European Commission.

The objective of the workshop was to present and discuss the results produced in the framework of EAP Task Force work and supported by the EC TACIS grant over the last two years.

National financing strategies for water and sanitation – process, methodology and outcomes;

• Tools for medium-term financial planning in water utilities and municipalities – impact and how can they be scaled-up;
• Performance contracts between water utilities and municipalities – recent experience and guidelines;
• What have we learned and what should be done next to effectively assist EECCA governments in this area?
