Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, in Mexico on 21-23 February 2018


Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Mexico from 21 to 23 February 2018 to attend the OECD Ministerial Conference on SMEs, Strengthening SMEs and Entrepreneurship for Productivity and Inclusive Growth, where he delivered remarks at the Opening and Closing ceremonies.

While in Mexico, the Secretary-General presented the 2018 OECD Scoreboard on Financing SMEs and Entrepreneurs at the “OECD-INADEM Workshop on Building Business Linkages that Boost SME Productivity”. He also delivered remarks at a joint OECD-INADEM interactive workshop, “Women Entrepreneurs: Seizing the Benefits of Digitalisation and Globalisation”.

Mr. Gurría held bilateral meetings with several high level officials of Mexico and other countries attending the event.

In Mexico, the Secretary-General delivered a Keynote Address on Best OECD Practices in Transparency, Access to Information and Personal Data Protection, at the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice.
