The Secretary-General will be in Taormina on 26-27 May 2017 to attend the G7 Leaders Summit and deliver remarks at the Outreach working session. While in Taormina, he will hold bilateral meetings with high level authorities attending the Summit.
The Secretary-General was in Bari from 11 to 13 May 2017 to attend the G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors' meeting where he delivered remarks on inequality and growth and security as a global public good. He also intervened in the sessions on global economy, and international taxation.
The Secretary-General presented the 2017 OECD Economic Survey of Italy and held bilateral meetings with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni and several Cabinet ministers.

The OECD and the Italian government are stepping up cooperation to ensure effective implementation of local development strategies to boost jobs, encourage entrepreneurship and increase social inclusion. An agreement, to be signed in Rome on 1 December 2015, will renew the mandate of the OECD Trento Centre for Local Development and establish a satellite office in Venice.
A cycle of seminar was organised by the OECD LEED Trento Centre on how to promote and support new enterprises to foster local economy in Trentino, specifically targeted at the Officers of the Autonomous Province of Trento, long standing partner of the OECD LEED Trento Centre.
