Shanghai, 9-10 July 2016: G20 Trade Ministers reinforced their "determination to promote inclusive, robust and sustainable trade and investment growth" with the adoption of the G20 Guiding Principles for Global Investment Policymaking.
The nexus of slowing productivity growth and rising inequality is capturing the attention of policymakers and researchers. The productivity slowdown, its causes, and the link with inclusiveness will be discussed on 7-8 July in Lisbon at the first Annual Conference of the new Global Forum on Productivity, which was created by the OECD in collaboration with a number of Member and non-Member countries.

SMEs are a key part of Turkey’s economy. The value-added created by SMEs increased by around 6% in the post-crisis period and employment in SMEs grew by around 9%. Turkey has enacted reforms to its company registration and insolvency procedures, which were costly and complex compared to other OECD countries. The effectiveness of these measures should be evaluated and further steps taken if necessary to stimulate business development.
