The OECD and the Open Society Justice Initiative (OSJI) convened a 2-day technical workshop on measuring people’s legal needs and effective access to justice. The meeting brought together a group of governmental, non-governmental and academic experts to discuss the people-focused measurement approaches to access to justice, including legal needs surveys and their practical use.
The discussion sought to support effective implementation and monitoring of target 16.3 of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Inclusive Growth agenda. The meeting employed a round table format where initial presenters presented followed by a group discussion.
