Ms. Knuppert's political areas of responsibility include: EU, ILO, WTO, OECD, EFS, IFS, TUAC, NFS, foreign politics and development aid, science and innovation, social policy, absence due to illness mv. early retirement pension.

Ms. Knuppert is responsible for the following trade unions: HK/Danmark (The union of Commercial and Clerical Employees in Denmark); 3F/service (The General Workers’ Union); Socialpædagogerne (The National Federation of Social Educators in Denmark); Hærens Konstabel-og Korporalforening (The Union of Enlisted privates and Corporals in the Danish Army); Dansk Frisør-og Kosmetiker Forbund (Danish hairdressers & Beauticians); Dansk Artist Forbund (The Danish Artists’ Union); Spillerforeningen (The Danish Football Player’s Association); Håndbold Spiller Foreningen (The Danish Handball Player’s Union); Fængselsforbundet (Danish Prison Officers’ Union)

Ms. Knuppert studied history at Aarhus University and Labour market policy and business organisation at AUC.

Ms. Knuppert started her career as Advertising consultant at Aarhus Stiftstidende (Newspaper), and then worked for an unemployment insurance fund, HK Aarhus. In 1984 she was elected president of HK Aarhus. In 1991-96 she was elected LO-county President, then Confederal LO-Secretary in 1996. Since 1999, Ms. Knuppert is a member of the LO General Council and since 2005 she is a member of the LO day-to-day management.
