Executive Vice-President, Head Public Affairs
Giuseppe Scognamiglio has spent 49 years as a diplomat. He has been a member Management Board and Executive Vice President for Public Affairs of Unicredit Group since December 2010.
In January 2013, he became Chairman of the Editorial Company “EuropEye”, which publishes the Review of International Policy and Economy "East-european crossroads".
Before joining the banking group in 2003, he worked in the diplomatic service at the United Nations at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, then abroad in Turkey as Consul in Izmir (1992-1995) and in Argentina as Political and Press Counsellor at the Italian Embassy in Buenos Aires (1996-1999). He was then appointed as Counsellor for Foreign Policy of the Minister for Industry and Foreign Trade Piero Fassino first and Enrico Letta secondly (1999-2001); and in 2003 became Chief of Staff of the Minister for Foreign Affairs Renato Ruggiero.
