Those in-depth studies of the health system of member countries focus on economic issues. They assess the performance of health systems in a comparative context, identify the main challenges faced by the country health system and put forward policy options to better meet them. Reviews are initiated at the request of the country to be examined and emphasis is placed on specific issues of key policy interest.

La crise provoquée par la pandémie de COVID-19 a plongé la Finlande dans la récession la plus grave qu’elle ait connue depuis le début de la décennie 90, même si les mesures de soutien rapidement adoptées par le gouvernement ont permis d'amortir le choc, si bien que la chute de la production a été inférieure à celle observée dans beaucoup d'autres pays de l’OCDE.

The OECD’s annual Revenue Statistics report found that the tax-to-GDP ratio in Finland decreased by 0.2 percentage points from 42.4% in 2018 to 42.2% in 2019. Between 2018 and 2019 the OECD average decreased from 33.9% to 33.8%.

The OECD Working Group on Bribery remains seriously concerned about the lack of foreign bribery enforcement in Finland following a series of acquittals, between 2013 and 2016, and as discussed in the country’s 2017 Phase 4 evaluation report. No foreign bribery case has been detected, investigated or prosecuted since the Phase 4 report.
