Accession review of Chile by the Insurance and Private Pensions Committee

This report describes the main features of Chile’s insurance and private pensions markets as well as the relevant features of its regulatory, supervisory and tax system. It also assesses the extent of market access for foreign service providers, and Chile’s position with regard to the OECD Codes of Liberalisation and other legal instruments concerning insurance and private pensions.
The report was prepared for the Insurance and Private Pensions Committee as part of the process of Chile’s accession to OECD membership.
Chile became of member of the OECD on 7 May 2010.
